Luke 8:41-48

One thing that steals our peace is physical pain and disease. It does not just rob us of physical peace, but it can also create anxieties about the future as well as affect our relationships. In this passage, we meet a woman who has had a chronic condition for 12 years. She has likely battled hopelessness, depression, and maybe even bitterness. She has probably prayed for healing many times already and found no answer.

But then one day everything changes. One day the kingdom of God breaks into her brokenness. One day God's will - “as it is in heaven” - is made manifest in her body. And it doesn’t happen because Jesus "decides" to heal her. It happens because that is simply who He is.

What if Jesus is still the same Healer today?
