The Parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14:12-24

After saying we should only invite people to social gatherings who can't repay us, Jesus launches into a sobering parable about the way many people will miss out on God's kingdom.

It's not through immoral living or even being anti-God; it's simply by being too preoccupied with the everyday cares of what we would call a busy & successful American Dream life.
