Jesus told his followers to pray, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." He told us to bring heaven to earth through prayer. 

In this intro sermon we sought to answer two primary questions:

1. What does it mean for God's kingdom to come to earth?

Doesn't God want to separate the spiritual from the physical?Or is that a misunderstanding of Scripture?

And what is our role in that endeavor, anyway? Isn't it prideful & arrogant to believe we can change things on this earth?

2. Why is prayer so integral to this goal?

Isn't prayer just about meditating on good things in order to soothe our own souls? Does prayer actually change things on the outside?

If God wants this earth to be different, why doesn't he just do it himself?
