So many of us have the idea that God is distant, cold, angry or hateful. We think He is just waiting to catch us doing something wrong and then zap us for it. 

But the Christmas message tells us just the opposite. 

The Christmas message is the story of a God who, from the beginning of time, could hardly wait to be with his people. 

And who would go to great lengths to have those people all to himself.
