Advent: Day 25

...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. - John 10:10

Jesus came to give us abundant life. That word life in this verse comes from the Greek word Zoē which is eternal life. Zoē life is the very life and nature of God. Eternal life is not something you receive when you get to heaven, as a child of God you have eternal life now in your spirit.

When You receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit imparts the life and nature of God into your spirit. You become a new creation infused with the very life of God.

I encourage to declare these words out loud today, "because Jesus is my Lord, I have eternal life, the life of God and his nature in me right now. I am born again and a new creation in Christ. I live the abundant life."

This Christmas season remember that Jesus came to give us eternal life.
