This sermon is about what baptism symbolizes, what we are publicly declaring happened to us through the sacred sacrament.

We focus on six things:

1. Baptism symbolizes Jesus is alive and we have followed him into resurrection life.

2. Baptism symbolizes we have received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

3. Baptism symbolizes we have been clothed with Christ's righteousness.

4. Baptism symbolizes our sin nature has been buried with Christ.

5. Baptism symbolizes we have been immersed into the body of Christ.

6. Baptism symbolizes we are invited into Christ's mission of inviting others into the grace, identity and family of God.
