In the final part of our focus on the Beatitudes, we look at what it means to be merciful, pure in heart, peacemaking agents of God's kingdom who endure persecution for righteousness.
In order to overflow with this kind of character, we must die.
Die to what?
To our need to demand our rights;
To our need for the world's distractions;
To our need for life to be fair;
To our need for self-preservation.
Happy are those who are free to love because they're not so dang needy.
