Exodus 18:13-26

We are all hard-wired to want to brig order to the chaos of our world. Some of us have trouble being at peace when our house is a mess, while others have trouble sleeping when a relationship conflict is unresolved. Some of us need to pull into a gas station as soon as the light comes on, while others get anxious when our routines are thrown off.

It may be be different for each of us, but all of us have a desire to bring order to chaos, and this is God-given. God is a God of order, and since the beginning of time he has been inviting his people to partner with him in taking authority over the chaos that has invaded his creation.
