Whether we are conscious of it or not, we all naturally want to live apart from God - doing MY plans, in MY strength, for MY glory. 

But as enticing as it is, this way of life ends up stealing from us. It steals our joy, it steals our peace, and it steals our ability to have healthy relationships. 

Jesus invites us to put our pride to death so that we can find true life.
