1 Corinthians 4:7-16
In this passage Paul challenges the Christians in Corinth about their view of hardships.
They were seeing hardships as evidence of a lack of spiritual maturity, a lack of God's favor; Paul, on the other hand, saw the same harships as scars of faithfulness and evidence God was using him.
In other words, hardships are par for the course, part of saying Yes to Jesus.
