1 Corinthians 1:1-3

Controversy over gender issues. Sexual craziness. People suing each other.

The church of Corinth should make us all feel better about ourselves! 

In this first intro week, we see that Paul, in his greeting, reminds his brothers and sisters of who they really are because of what Jesus has accomplished. 

They may be dysfunctional in many ways, they may have divisions amongst themselves, and they may be living like the rest of culture - but they are still set apart for God's special purpose!
