Are you the fun mom? The responsible son? The student-athlete? The life of the party? The savvy businessman? 

We all are on a search for identity -- a sense of self and self-worth. We look to our gifts, our talents, our family of origin, our friends and our culture to give us a name. To tell us who we are and why we are worthy of existence. 

But any identity that is self-attained will fail us at some point, and therefore the happiness we find in that identity is fleeting at best. 

Thankfully, Jesus gives us a name that cannot be taken away.
