Nominating New Members to Our Executive Team

1

As we approach our 2026 membership meeting on March 1st, our Nominating committee - made up of a few members at large (Jack Timmerman, Bob DiStefano, and Allyn McCarthy) and two board members (Pam Hess and Pastor Chris Francis) -- will be meeting a couple times to discuss and pray about any new potential board members.

According to our by-laws there is a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 9 people, including our Lead Pastor, who can be on the board. We have been at 9 this past year.

Frank Martinez and Dan Dornacker are both at the end of their second term, and can be nominted for one more third term.

Bob McDonough, Bob Daber, Pam Hess and Tom Sargent are all in the middle of terms and are not up for a vote.

------

If you have suggestions, feel free to email any of our Nominating Committee members and we will add their names to the discussion & prayer process. But please do not tel the person you are recommending that you are recommending them. We typically go through a list of many people and have to narrow it down to ony a few, and we would like to avoid any unnecessary hurt feelings in the initial stages.

Pam Hess (pamhess67@gmail.com)

Jack Timmerman (abberoad@aol.com)

Bob DiStefano (rdistefano2@verizon.net)

Allyn McCarthy (Allyn-McCarthy@comcast.net)

The nominating team usually starts with a long list but after prayer and a first round of internal voting, the list becomes very short.

Then we ask the person(s) if they are even willing to serve in this role, and ask them to pray abou it.

If they say yes, we bring it before the church at the Membership Meeting for a vote.

Thank you!
